What does the SMS do that Moodle does not do?
Here are some of the features that the SMS provides that Moodle does not: It allows for custom report cards to be generated/created and mailed out to learners/contacts; enables online learner registration – with custom registration pages; facilitates management of learners based on special criteria (e.g. can classify learners into programs etc); exports achievement data; tracks email communication between learners/staff; allows for custom emails to be generated and sent to learners; provides an extensive attendance module not available in Moodle; enables creation and maintenance of learning plans; allows for import/management of BCeSIS data; tracks communication with learners; and, finally, it provides audit reports for learners (for BC Audit purposes).
